Climate change simply refers to the change in the environment. It can happen due to both external and internal factors. However, it is one of the most serious issues that the world is facing nowadays so it cannot be ignored. Also, it has drastic effects on the living and physical conditions of human beings, plants, and animals. Since it impacts the ecology, it is highly likely for the living creatures to get extinct because of it.
The climate started changing a few decades ago because of human activities, an increase in industrialization, and urbanization. There are also a lot of other causes that are changing the climate every day. The temperature of the earth is increasing continuously over time which is also being called the ‘Green House Effect’ world widely. It further has a huge influence on the supply, agriculture sector, transportation, and many other areas of life. The glaciers are melting, wildlife is declining, ocean level is rising, CO2 is increasing in the air, and the water life is also getting disturbed. Apart from that, climate change is disturbing the ecosystem, food chain, and biodiversity of animals which is the greatest loss to the environment.
In addition to the effects, we must also be aware of both natural and human reasons that promote climate change. If we turn a blind eye towards it instead, we might not be able to get rid of them ever. Natural reasons generally include solar radiations, orbital vibrations, volcanic eruption, and tectonic plate movement. Such activities can make the living conditions unfavorable and it becomes harder for any human or animal to survive. Also, it causes an imbalance in nature to a great extent. However, human reasons are based on the need and greed of people. Everyone wants to have more resources and power to live. As a result, they perform such harmful activities that don’t only affect them but the environment as well.
The government must play its role to create awareness among people regarding climate change. It should also limit the industrialization and urbanization by making effective policies and strategies. Also, greenhouse pollution must be controlled by promoting recycling processes. Global warming is another most serious issue that needs to be addressed. Moreover, we must realize our responsibility as citizens. If we don’t keep a check and balance on our activities, things might go out of our hands. We would have to stop robbing the planet to fill our pockets with money.
In a nutshell, climate change is a serious issue that needs to be highlighted. We cannot ignore the importance of the earth and the environment we live in. We must know both its causes and effects to be able to deal with this issue wisely. It is not late to start and try to undo the damage we have caused to the environment so far. On the other hand, if we show negligence and start acting like we cannot do anything, it can affect the quality of life and habitant of living creatures.
