The rainy season is the most beautiful season of all others. However, every area or region has different timing or duration of the rainy season. In both tropical and non-tropical regions, the rainy season takes place according to their topographical position. At some places, it lasts for three to four months, whereas at other places, it only lasts for a month or two. We must acknowledge the beauty and significance of the rainy season.
The rainy season is also known as “Monsoon” in India and Pakistan. The duration of this season in both countries is almost the same, i.e. three to four months. However, the course of the rainy season for other countries or states is not fixed. In some tropical places like forests, it keeps raining throughout the year. On the other hand, desserts or Sahara receives the rainfalls rarely. There are two main reasons for the rainy season that include the ‘change in the flow of wind’ and ‘rise in temperature of earth surface’. It causes to push the winds towards the land that further results in precipitating rain. This cycle continues for a specific period in every region that is known as the rainy season.
We cannot deny the importance of the rainy season as it has a significant impact on the economic condition of a country. For instance, the rainy season in India helps improve the production level and harvesting process. On the contrary, if the rainfalls take place less than expected, it can cause drought and famine. Moreover, the rainy season plays a vital role in protecting our natural resources and maintaining the groundwater level. All the living or non-living things are also dependent on natural water directly or indirectly. If the rainy season doesn’t occur, we will get short of natural water to fulfil our needs. We should also preserve the rainwater by using different methods to use it for better purposes later.
Furthermore, people from different age groups enjoy the rainy season. It leaves a positive effect on their physical and mental health. Kids are most excited about this pleasant weather as they can jump and play in the rain. They also enjoy a break from the hectic routine of their schools and colleges. They can relax at home and spend their days and nights doing other activities with the family and friends. Even if we see the rainy season from the perspective of a common man, it is the source of relief from the heat of summer season. It lifts the moods of older people as well. They get a chance to rejuvenate amidst the stress and tension of daily life.
In a nutshell, the rainy season is the best season from every aspect. It doesn’t only supply a tremendous amount of freshwater but also improves the economic condition of a country. Every single person, be it a child or elder, enjoys this season at its fullest. We should also take action to preserve the rainwater to make the most out of the rainy season.
